INTRACOASTAL INSHORE RESOURCES

The inshore fishing along the southeastern North Carolina coast is as diverse and interesting as any angler could hope for anywhere. The accessibility to a labyrinth of creeks and lagoons is made welcome by a well maintained course of Intracoastal Waterway leading from Morehead City to Southport . With miles of diverse habitat for trout, drum, flounder, sharks, ladyfish, jacks and seasonal species like tarpon there is never a shortage of action along the inshore coastal waters of Wrightsville Beach.

With lots of hungry fish and room to spread out it is not uncommon to catch a variety of these prized game fish on artificials. Try your luck on top waters in the morning and switch to grubs and jigs at midday. Some folks enjoy taking it easy and with the abundance of bait in our waters during the season why not cash in on a haul of mud minnows or pogies from the cast net for that next doormat flounder. All angling skill levels are welcome at the Intracoastal Angler and we love to talk about the latest rigging ideas or lures to hit the scene. Stop in and see for yourself why so many anglers trust the friendly staff of the Intracoastal Angler. We'll see you on the water.
